This holiday season, my husband and I got hooked on the Hallmark Channel movies. First the Christmas, then the Winter themes. They were so romantic. He surprised me at the beginning of March with train tickets to Denver, Colorado. We'd have our own little Hallmark winter romance. 48 hours in coach on Amtrak was not so lovey-dovey, but when we finally arrived, we bought Denver CityPASS tickets so we could go to the zoo, the aviation museum and aquarium.
Not having been to Denver, we had no idea how popular it was. We tried for two days and couldn't park within a 30 minute walk to the zoo. The Denver Museum of Nature & Science was nearby and had underground parking so we opted in. I can't tell you how surprised and delighted I was to serendipitously stumble into the mummy room!
I'm currently writing the 2nd book in my Inappropriate series and my heroine, Sandra, is tasked with obtaining an authentic Egyptian Mummy for her employer's party. The working title is Inexcusable. First Line: I hate shopping for dead bodies.
Well I have so much more knowledge, thanks to the Denver Zoo being overcrowded. Sandra might just be able to purchase that mummy after all.
I took a photo of everything!
